How Chiropractors Can Leverage Social Media and SEO to Grow

It can be difficult to attract new patients to your practice, especially if you don’t have an existing reputation in the community. There are many different methods you can use to grow your practice, but we wanted to highlight two that we think are particularly helpful for chiropractors – social media and search engine optimization (SEO). We’ll cover how these strategies work, what they involve, and why they should be considered by any chiropractor looking to grow their business. Let’s get started!

Social Media

Since the launch of MySpace in 2003 people have been using social media to connect with friends, and family, and draw people to their business. Since then we have seen the rise of new social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and even TikTok. These social media channels can be a tremendous resource and tool for Chiropractors looking to bring in new patients and keep their practice growing. In this blog, we will talk about the two most valuable channels you can use - Facebook and Instagram. These two platforms are great for local businesses looking to attract local people. Let’s start with Facebook.

Facebook, which launched in 2004 and has over 1 billion active users, can be a powerful tool for growing your Chiropractic practice. By creating creative content that drives engagement and followers you can turn your social media page into an asset. Another way to generate engagement and attract new patients is by using targeted ads in your area. These ads can help bring in your ideal patient since you can create audiences based on location, income, industry, and so much more. In short, Facebook marketing can be a valuable tool for your Chiropractic business.

Instagram, which like Facebook, has over 1 billion users can be a great tool and resource for your Chiropractic business. The photo and video sharing platform is a great place to share the meaningful and visual changes you are able to do along with showcasing stretches and exercises that can help relieve pain. These posts can generate huge levels of engagement and ultimately lead to an increase in patients. When posting a photo or video make sure to include specific hashtags to maximize your reach. Just like Facebook marketing, Instagram marketing can give your practice a much-needed boost.

Need help creating content?

Coming up with creative content that drives engagement and ads that convert can be a challenge. Not everyone has the time to conduct competitive research, draft engaging copy, and design eye-catching graphics. Luckily, you don’t have to. There are marketing agencies all across the country who would be happy to help you create memorable posts and winning ads.

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, can be a game-changer at the local level. But before we dive too deep into how SEO can help and the ways to maximize your efforts let’s take a look at what it is.

SEO is the process of optimizing your website to rank higher in search engine results. An example of this would be if I search for the term “Chiropractor in Seatle” some sites will come up first while others are on completely different pages. That’s because of search engine optimization.

One great way to boost your local SEO is to have an optimized Google listing. (Shown below) One way to optimize your listing is by posting photos, videos, and general updates regularly. This not only helps with your search rankings but also can help provide important information and key details about your business to potential customers. We recommend posting a photo or video at least once a week.

Another way to increase your rankings is to publish blog articles on your website. If you properly optimize your blog’s title and add enough photos, and internal links you can draw more organic traffic to your site as well as increase the authority your site holds. By writing blogs you can build yourself as an authority and get other blogs to link to yours, creating backlinks. Backlinks are a powerful key to maximizing your SEO. These backlinks (links on a different webpage that take the user to your site) can help grow your organic traffic and ultimately increase your sales.

Final thoughts

If you want your Chiropractic business to attract new patients, then consider deploying a social media strategy and creating engaging content on Facebook and Instagram. And don’t forget to write compelling blogs that provide the reader with valuable information and answer their search quarry.
